Alpha Kappa Psi
Spring Rush 2019
The oldest and largest co-ed professional business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi is recognized as the premier developer of principled business leaders. Guided by our Five Core Values: Brotherhood, Knowledge, Integrity, Service, and Unity, Alpha Kappa Psi focuses on providing ethical leadership and professional development.
As the Vice President of Public Relations, each semester I am tasked with creating media materials spanning from print to digital assets, for our bi-annual recruitment event — Rush Week.

The juxtaposition of typefaces between Futura and Improvenu Wide is a reflection of all the Brothers here at Chi Sigma. Futura, a universally recognized typeface that is represented widely in today’s cultural context signifies our youthful and modern leaders. It’s sans-serif nature is rounded, clean, and neat. Likewise, we are rounded and professional individuals. Imprevenu Wide is experimental. It’s bold and it’s wide nature pushes the boundaries of typical typefaces, mirroring our promise to lead with innovation and higher ideals.
The bright yellow and muted navy tones that I’ve selected as primary colors for this campaign represent our fraternity colors, but also reflects the life and vivacity that every Brother breathes into the work that we do.
THE INTERN was an Instagram series that I had designed and implemented during the summer before the fall semester, documenting all the exciting internships that our brothers were working on. This served two purposes: 1) to showcase the achievements of our chapter and 2) to attract potential rushees in a move to motivate attendance to our upcoming Fall Rush week; let them know that these brothers can become their community, their friends and mentors.
The Chi Sigma chapter of AKPsi at Northeastern University are leaders. We are bold and lively young adults who wish to help and mentor those around us. We believe in leaving legacies— none too big nor small. Building a library is a legacy, just as much as leaving a smile for someone is too. That was the message that I wanted to convey through our materials this semester.
